Students who are blind or visually impaired will need accommodations or adaptations to access printed material. The ability to access information is a foundational skill needed to be successful in every area of curriculum.
The Alaska Center for Accessible Materials is able to convert instructional material to accessible formats for students visual impairments. These formats include:
-
Contact Tyler Arsen with the name of the item that's needed using the AKCAM Request form.
-
Describe what the product needs to be converted to (or Tyler can help you make that determination)
-
We take care of the rest!
-
We will contact you when materials are ready for mail or pick-up
