Reaching milestones in literacy takes hard work and focus, but some students have additional needs that need to be met in order to achieve success. This section explores the five most common learning disabilities in the classroom today.  

According to the National Center for Learning Disabilities' State of Learning Report, one out of every five students has either a learning or attention disability that effects their progress in the classroom.

Because of the "invisible" nature of this disability, these students may be overlooked or misunderstood. For students with learning disabilities to access printed information in a meaningful way, proper supports are necessary.
